The goal of Wildlife Habitat Services is to nurture the role of humans as stewards of wildlife by enhancing appreciation and understanding of the natural ecosystems and native wildlife of Florida.
Throughout the years Florida has lost countless acres of virgin land to development. We have made room for an ever-increasing human population. The loss of habitat is the major factor limiting wildlife populations. As wetlands, forests and wildlife habitat are put under pressure from urban sprawl, it is increasingly important to preserve our natural heritage. We at WHS believe proper habitat, both food and cover, together with the concerned landowners cooperation and involvement are the keys to success of future wildlife populations. Through our development programs and ongoing management, WHS aids private landowners in the preservation of natural wildlife habitat.
